Conclusion

Malaria kills hundreds of people every day. Zimbabweans are drastically affected because they live in a very poor country that cannot provide medicine and bed nets. I believe that if we can start an organization, here in the U.S., where people can donate money to help find a better cure for this disease, then maybe we can put an end to it. Some of the money can go to getting bed nets and mosquito wands, which are like a handheld bug zappers. Right now the government of Zimbabwe and the U.S. spends 1.5 billion USD (U.S. dollars) on malaria (“Funding for Malaria Today”). That is a lot of money but obviously it is not enough.

Also, if we start a donating center and get the proper medicine, nets, and wands then not only can we prevent more people from getting malaria but also get rid of the malaria that is still killing hundreds every day. I know what all of you are thinking, it would be easier to just kill all the bugs. However, if we use pesticides to get rid of the mosquitoes, we are putting chemicals in the air which could lead to more serious problems. Hopefully my plan for a malaria free Zimbabwe can influence other countries affected by this deadly disease. Maybe one day we can live in a malaria free world!
